RAKU POTTERY
Raku pottery is created through a unique low-fire reduction firing process, inspired by techniques developed in 16th century Japan. Raku pieces were originally used in ancient Japan for tea ceremonies. Today, Claybanks Pottery artists use the Raku method to create decorative pieces for your home with a distinctive metallic or white crackle finish.
Because of the firing method, Raku pieces are considered decorative, and are not waterproof.
