Dear Friends,
This fall, our kiln shed and glaze studio caught fire and burned down. We are thankful that no one was hurt and the main house/studio was untouched. We are rebuilding thanks to volunteers and help from the community. Basically, we have to “start from scratch” in terms of our kiln and glazing area.
Many people have already contributed money, time, or building materials to our efforts and we are confident that we will have production underway for you this coming Spring so that you will have an artist to visit next summer.
In the meantime, if you have any interesting vintage or otherwise interesting metal signs, or metal sheets that you would like to contribute to the walls of our new building, please contact me at 231-894-4177.
Thank you for all the love that you have shown us at Claybanks.
Sincerely,
Laurie Pounder and the Artists at Claybanks Pottery
